Q: What is Appstart Academy?

Appstart Academy aims to bridge the gap between you and your vision of a fulfilling career. Our training is designed to train, connect and launch you in the ever demanding world of App Development.

Q. Why is iOS Development Training relevant today?
Its a fact that App sales are on the up and up, and they only look to keep growing. It was reported recently that Apples App Store developers had made over $25 BILLION to date. By 2020, the total app industry revenue is expected to peak at $100 billion! Now you can take advantage of this opportunity by learning how to build and launch apps successfully. Having this skill will enable you to bring your ideas to life. Having it in your resume is a plus!
Q: What is an immersive program?
The Appstart Immersive Program is designed to train students and provide them with support. This program will enable them to transition into a new career. It comes with Expert Coaching during class and consultation hours. We also provide access to development resources as well as our extensive network.
Q: Where will classes be held?
Appstart Academy is located at Unit 221 Atrium Bldg Makati Avenue, Makati City.
Q. How long will this training be?
The duration of the iOS Development Training is 12 weeks.
Q: What are the available schedules?

Monday & Wednesday 6:00PM to 9:00PM and Saturday 9:00AM to 12:00PM

Q. Do I need to have any programming background to join this program?

We understand that there is always a first time for everything. Our program is geared towards beginners so no prior skill or knowledge is required. Our students vary with a wide variety of backgrounds and previous experiences, so we make it a point to have Teaching Assistants, consultation hours and training materials available, giving you the opportunity to learn at your own pace with the proper support system.


If its your first time, hard work and dedication are definitely required in order to get the most out of the classes.

Q: What are the requirements for the training?

Having programming skills can work to your advantage but if this is your first time, youll need to allot more time outside of class to practice and learn.


A Mac (running El Capitan) will also be needed in order to run the programs youll be using.

Q. Do I need an iOS device for the training?

You dont need an iPhone or iPad to build and view your apps because you can do that through the Xcode Integrated Development Environment but you need a Mac to run the IDE.

Q. What knowledge/skill can I expect to gain upon completion of the training?

By the end of the training, youll be well-versed in object oriented programming with Swift, Apples new programming language. Youll also learn the best practices for iOS interface design. Youll be able to build your own app and submit them to the App Store.

Q. What confirmation can you provide that I successfully completed the training?

A Certificate of Completion will be provided at the end of the training to confirm that you have successfully passed it.

Q. How do I reserve my slot in the program?

You may email our Course Curator at toska@appstartacademy.io to reserve a slot. Make sure to include your full name and contact details.

Q. How do I enroll in the program?
Visit us at Unit 221 The Atrium of Makati Bldg Makati Avenue, Makati City. Look for our Course Curator, Toska Jacobe. She'll be available to assist you from 9:00AM to 6:00PM.
Q. What payment methods do you accept?
We accept cash, check or direct deposit. For questions regarding payments, please email toska@appstartacademy.io
Q. Can I pay on installment basis?
We allow you to break up your tuition payment into several installments within the training duration. We generally ask for a 25% downpayment but we can consider an alternate payment plan in special circumstances. After you submit a downpayment to confirm your slot, we will contact you to confirm payment dates for the remainder of your tuition.
Q. What materials/resources are provided to students?
We will have at least one Teaching Assistant (TA) during the training. The TA will be in the class to help answer your questions. He/She will also be available during regular office hours and by appointment as well. Access to training materials will be provided.
Q. How much extra time do I need to dedicate aside from the actual classes?
Learning varies from person to person, but it pays to work hard and devote at least 3-5 hours per week outside the classroom. If you really want to be an App Developer, you will probably need to put in more time and effort. Our courses may be demanding but it will pay off in the end.
Q. What about absences?

As complete attendance is a must, we understand that unexpected and unavoidable things come up. If you foresee missing a class, please let us know. We discourage missing more than 2 sessions from the rest of the program.


Please contact your TA and instructor to figure out the best way to catch up  falling behind a class may prevent you from succeeding in this training. We are set on making this a great learning experience for you and we want to ensure you that nothing will disrupt your learning experience with us.

Q. What is your cancellation and refund policy?

Except for extraordinary circumstances, students who wish to drop or quit from a course are not entitled to a refund. Should you have an extraordinary circumstance, you can submit a request by writing to our Academy Director at ann@appstartacademy.io. Any refunds given in such circumstances will be less a non-refundable tuition deposit equivalent to 25% of tuition and a registration fee of PHP 500.00 and any training materials you have received.


Your enrollment with Appstart Academy may be considered invalid for failure to maintain satisfactory progress; failure to comply with Appstart Academys rules and standards of conduct; maximum number of absences set by Appstart Academy; and/or inability to accomplish financial obligations with Appstart Academy.
